It was trendy and sometimes wore by necessity for work, not for hiding baldness. In the last century it wasn't a huge problem for man or women as for today. Even the Japanese had a hairstyle that mimic baldness. So yeah embrace your baldness and accept it like a chad and don't be a fag with transplants and pills.

but maybe they want it that way. if they can tell themselves that everything going wrong in their life is because of their receding hairline and pretend there's no solution for it, then they never have to bother and try to fix any of it.

          >The new hair is DHT resistant.
For a time. It's unclear what's going on, maybe the adjacent skin cells influence the ones from the transplant region as all the cells cycle, but eventually even the transplanted follicles become sensitive to DHT and start miniaturizing. Granted it doesn't usually start to become a problem for years and years, but if you're a teenager with bad recession and thinning and you get an aggressive transplant, someday you'll be 30 or 35 staring down the norwood reaper again, only this time you don't have any aces up your sleeve anymore. You better hope they figure out a real solution before that happens.

I feel like you're saying the same thing. After a hair transplant you absolutely will be prescribed finasteride. 100%, no chance you won't be told by your surgeon to use it. Why?
Because the hair behind your new hairline will keep receding even if your transplanted hair won't.
The result is an absolutely hideous hairline that is arguably worse than if you just went full bald.

Some, but other interventions are required as well to regain childhood density and hairlines. Much of hairloss in both men and women associated with aging is the result of calcification of scalp tissues cutting off blood circulation to the cells which grow the follicle. It's why minox and microneedling both independently increase hair density and shaft thickness, and combined they have substantial improvements. Minoxidil promotes blood flow to the tissues, and the wounding of microneedling breaks up the calcification and causes healing to occur reverting the tissues to a softer state which naturally will allow better nutrient flow.

But what you need to keep in mind is these interventions don't last forever. Ultimately MPB is the result of specific hair follicles being sensitive to/prone to binding with large amounts of DHT. You can use 5ar inhibitors like finasteride and dutasteride to reduce the conversion of test into DHT but it won't stop it 100% and eventually that trickle of DHT will overwhelm your follicles once again and the hair will thin back out. Until we can figure out what causes scalp calcification and follicle sensitivity to DHT in the first place, it's always just going to be a matter of time if you must have your own hair.

I was thinning on my crown and I read that it can be reversed by massaging your scalp. I had never massaged my scalp before, and I rarely ever had my scalp massaged, so I figured it's worth a shot. This was three years ago and the bald spot is completely gone and was mostly recovered by the first year. The idea is that as the scalp gets tighter, blood flow is restricted to the follicles, so by massaging it you make the scalp more elastic and the blood can flow more easily.

I do it while I'm in the shower and for only about 2 minutes. The way I do it is by making my fingers rigid in a claw and then pinching the skin inwards to the center of my palm. I don't think there's one specific way, the goal is to just get the skin to move and become elastic. It's going to take awhile to see progress, but just stay consistent. It's also probably the kind of thing we should have all been doing preemptively, so don't expect miracles if you're almost completely bald.

water is enough to rid of dirt and whatever causes you to stink
          you don't need soap
people are so stupid that they buy into advertising. ads convince people that they need crap that they don't need
before the 20th century people almost never bathed
people started bathing after soap ads became a thing

I hope you are properly exfoliating your scalp otherwise you have probably got a TON of dead skin buildup.

skin flakes are caused by dry skin and dry skin is caused by soap. Soap strips the skin of oils that keep the skin moisturized

Dead skin happens regardless if you moisturize or not. Dry skin and dead skin are two different things.

That's not how that works anon. Moisturizing is great but you still should exfoliate the dead layer of skin otherwise it's just sitting there. Which can lead to problems.

the skin exfoliates itself. you don't need to do that.

To an extent it does. It needs help sometimes otherwise your skin will get congested. I'm not saying use shampoo but spend a little more time scrubbing I guess.

                Anonymous

scrubbing is bad for your skin. it irritates the skin and dries it out
no wonder you have dead skin flakes all over your skin
just let the water (from the shower nozzle) clean you. you don't need to scrub most of your body. just your arm pits and maybe your crotch and that's it.

you can use soap and clean yourself thoroughly and stink 2 hours later(if you don't use deodorant). this is why i think soap is pointless

Anon I don't know who taught you about skincare but that's wrong. You can gently exfoliate yourself. And no water alone will not do that for you. And yes I agree soap is very stripping. Always moisturize afterwards.

                Anonymous

I should add you only need to exfoliate like once a week. Everyday is too harsh.

I always find this weird. Water is one of the most powerful universal solvents and oxygen corrodes everything. To some other creature out there in space, humans must be like xenomorphs with acid for blood.

The problem with balding is that just the top falls out, the sides and back of the head remain intact. That's what makes it look so unbearably unaesthetic. Would've been less of a problem for me if it all fell out.

The cure is finding out what exactly the genes do to start the process and stopping it dead in its tracks. There is no reason baldness can not be completely prevented.

      Anonymous

it can be prevented. but hairloss in men is strictly bound to testosterone and the meiosis cycle for the sperms. You can block DHT completely but than you will disrupt the testosterone and meiosis cycle, leading to limp dick and your bois swimming in circles

Everything was working fine before the balding started and testosterone was normal. Finding what the key processes are before balding begins should circumvent without significant side effects.

Following a group of men with likely impending balding issues and a group that will likely keep their hair along with diligent weekly if not bi-weekly testing. With blood tests and other diagnostics the process that causes the issue should be detectable eventually. Then it's just finding techniques that stop those changes before they do their evil damage. A stupidly expensive R&D process but a absolute gold mine for the company that cracks the code.

Hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, age, hormonal changes, medical conditions, medications, and stress. The statement that 90% of balding is caused by faulty genetics is not entirely accurate. Genetics is a major factor in hair loss, but it is not the only one. The statement that the remaining 10% of balding can be reversed with the right treatment is also not entirely accurate. There are treatments available for hair loss, but they are not always effective. The effectiveness of treatment depends on the cause of the hair loss and the severity of the condition. If you are concerned about hair loss, it is important to see a doctor to determine the cause and discuss treatment options.
