Ignore the marketing cringe, its a very useful tool
        >control PC volume and media controls from phone
        >transfer files between Android and desktop easily
        >remote input, use your touch screen as a mouse
        >see phone notifications on desktop, or vice versa
The iOS version is gimped because Apple doesn't allow background daemons. Works great with my KDE Linux desktop, also GS Connect offers parity of functionality on GNOME. Other desktops can make use of kdeconnect-indicator, not sure how it works for Windows though.
Seriously this is a game changer if you have a desktop connected to speakers. Spotify does something similar with their app, but for other music players its nice.

If you use kde yes, otherwise you need to install an extension in the browser. It works with pretty much all media applications, because linux has a desktop standard for controlling media unlike windows and Mac.

Android used to handle file management so well until scoped storage was introduced. Now all my audio recordings are inaccessible from anywhere besides the built-in file browser or the recording app. So, now there's a whole convoluted process involved in getting those audio recordings to my PC. Used to be plug in and drag out. Ridiculous.
